Paul O’Grady currently works at Peterson, Johnson and Murray working as a Managing partner operating in a wide range of areas ranging from regulatory matters to defending class action claims.

Paul has successfully negotiated settlement agreements between Insurance Companies and the Regulatory Agencies overseeing said companies. Paul has litigated issues before agencies when settlement could not be reached.

When Paul is not successfully settling claims he is managing the associates at PJM and answering all litigation questions they may have, acting as both a mentor and a managing partner.

Paul is currently a Special State’s Attorney in Cook, LaSalle, Lake, and Will Counties and a Special Attorney General for the Illinois Attorney General’s Office. Paul has served as a Special Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago.

Outside his legal capacity, he has worked as the Supervisor of Orland Township since 2009. With the help of a talented staff, devoted volunteers and dedicated Township Board, he has championed investment in children and youth while promoting Township initiatives that support families, provide plentiful recreational options for area residents, and encourage economic growth and workforce development.

Paul, who previously worked as a police officer, has long been committed to public service. He served as chief of staff to Cook County Sheriff Michael Sheahan and as chair of the Orland Fire Protection District. He practices law with a Chicago-based firm and, among his other roles, serves as a Special State’s Attorney in Cook, Will, LaSalle and Lake counties. The Illinois State Crime Commission/Police Athletic League in 2018 honored O’Grady as “Township Supervisor of the Year.”
